Spenwood is an English, unpasteurised, hard, vegetarian sheeps cheese.

Made by Anne and Andy Wigmore in Risely, Berkshire. This fantastic Sheep's milk hard cheese is made near to our farm and is extremely popular with our customers, especially some of our local chefs who love to use it on their menus.

It is made in a similar way to pecorino, where the salt is added by brining after the curds have been pressed, rather than adding salt earlier in the process. The result is a complex, nutty and sweet cheese with a lamby back note and a lingering finish.

When ordering your online cheese for next day delivery, remember that the perfect cheeseboard comprises a hard cheese, a soft cheese and a blue cheese. you can also include a goat's cheese, a sheep's cheese or perhaps a washed rind cheese.
